Abstract

As holder of the Henk de Jong Chair, Jaap Dekker wrote this introductory contribution on Henk de Jong's biblical-theological legacy. He draws De Jong's view of the relationship between the Old and New Testaments against the background of the tradition in which he grew up and compares his salvation-historical approach with some other views on how the Old Testament speaks of Christ.
